All 32 NHL teams are on tonight’s schedule. That is plenty of hockey, but it does not mean we need 16 bets. Our first price review is New Jersey–Detroit over 6. Colorado–Dallas is a goalie watchlist, while older Toronto odds stay off the card.

Research checked October 13, 2026, at noon Eastern (EDT). This is a watchlist, not a list of established betting edges. Quotes are attributed public-page observations, with no verified last-update time or authenticated Ontario offer. Confirm the price, lineup and settlement terms in your own account.

The October 12 schedule puts New Jersey, Florida, Buffalo, Ottawa, Minnesota and Vegas on the second night of a back-to-back. Check starter changes and travel for those teams. A back-to-back is context, not an automatic bet against a team.

First review: Devils–Red Wings over 6

Review ceiling: over 6 at -115 or better, after both starters and final lineups are checked. Do not move the same argument to 6.5 without a new assessment. Under ordinary whole-number total rules, seven or more goals wins an over 6 and exactly six pushes.

BetMGM’s Detroit editorial page displayed New Jersey -110 / Detroit -110; Devils -1.5 (+220) / Red Wings +1.5 (-275); and over 6 (-115) / under 6 (-105). Those are published references, not confirmed account prices. The NHL lists a 6 p.m. EDT start; the page’s EST label should not change that.

Why inspect the over? The official NHL matchup feed lists New Jersey’s team goals-against average at 3.60 through five games and Detroit’s at 2.80 through five. Jake Allen has a .896 save percentage in three appearances; John Gibson has .862 in four. Those early numbers raise a question about the total, but the samples are small.

RotoWire labels both Allen and Gibson confirmed. That is the secondary service’s label, not independent team confirmation from us. It lists Detroit defenseman Simon Edvinsson out, with J.T. Compher and Marco Kasper on injured reserve. New Jersey’s Connor Brown is also listed on injured reserve. Missing defense and missing forwards can pull a total in different directions.

Why it could lose: the goalies can rebound, finishing can dry up, and New Jersey’s consecutive-day schedule can reduce its attacking energy. A low-penalty game can also mean fewer scoring chances. Goals-against figures do not measure both teams’ ability to score tonight.

At -115, the break-even rate is about 53.5% of decided bets, excluding pushes. We have not established that chance. Pass at a worse price than -115, at 6.5, after an unexplained starter change, or if the exact full-game rules cannot be verified. There is no separate moneyline, puck-line or player-prop pick for this matchup.

Colorado–Dallas: the goalie contrast needs a price

The official matchup data lists Jake Oettinger with a .963 save percentage and 0.74 goals-against average in four appearances. Mackenzie Blackwood has .867 and 3.30 in four. Dallas’s team record is 2–2–1; Colorado is 3–2–0.

That looks like a strong goalie contrast. It still does not tell us whether the side or total is mispriced. RotoWire labels Blackwood confirmed and Oettinger expected, and lists Dallas’s Matt Duchene on long-term injured reserve. Confirm the Dallas starter and the final attacking lineup before using either goalie’s early numbers.

The Colorado and Dallas editorial pages did not expose a matchup price table in this check. We are not substituting an unlabeled aggregate line or inventing a target. No verified quote means no price-backed Colorado–Dallas pick here.

Other hockey checks before you bet

Toronto–Utah: RotoWire projects Sergei Bobrovsky and Karel Vejmelka; both remain expected. It lists Toronto’s Chris Tanev on injured reserve. The Toronto editorial page still displayed the October 8 Vegas matchup when checked. Those prices are excluded.

Vegas–Nashville: BetMGM’s October 13 preview lists Vegas -125 / Nashville +105 and Vegas -1.5 (+185) / Nashville +1.5 (-225). Its total table gives 6 with prices of -102 and -118 without clearly labeling the over and under rows. We will not guess the sides. Vegas played yesterday, and a larger puck-line payout still requires a two-goal win.

There is no verified current relevant player-prop quote supporting an extra selection on this card. Keep the remaining games on a monitoring list rather than adding legs to fill space.

Baseball, football and basketball

The official MLB schedule feed lists Cleveland at Tampa Bay at 8 p.m. Eastern. Check confirmed pitchers, final lineups and bullpen availability. We do not have a verified current account price or complete availability check to support a baseball pick.

The ESPN college football slate has Delaware–Middle Tennessee at 7 p.m. and Florida International–Jacksonville State at 8 p.m. With final player availability and fresh two-sided account prices unverified, both remain watchlist games. The NFL feed returns no games for today, so Monday’s Bills–Rams article is an archive, not tonight’s card.

The ESPN NBA feed lists Cleveland–Orlando and New York–Toronto at 7 p.m., Indiana–Oklahoma City at 8 p.m., and Golden State–Lakers plus Portland–Sacramento at 10 p.m. These are preseason games. Check rotation and minutes plans before any player prop.

The market must match the review

The Devils–Detroit review is intended for a full-game total including overtime and shootout settlement. Regulation-only totals are a different offer.

MGM Springfield’s March 12, 2026 rules, printed pages 58–59, include overtime in pregame hockey moneylines, puck lines and totals unless marked Regular Time. A shootout adds one goal to the winner and total. Those venue rules do not verify the terms of an Ontario offer; that missing check keeps today’s review on the watchlist.

Keep the accepted price and exact rules beside your lineup check. One sensible pass is better than pretending a crowded schedule supplies a betting edge.

After placing a supported bet elsewhere, BetSlip Live can help you import it, review the detected legs and follow supported live progress. Coverage varies by market and event. The app tracks bets; it does not accept wagers.
