Josh Anderson does not need a Heritage Classic highlight to make his shot prop interesting. Two ordinary shots on net would do it. He has reached that mark in five straight games, and tonight's outdoor stage gives us a good reason to look a little closer.

At the other end of the shooting spectrum is Filip Hronek. The Vancouver defenseman has gone three games without a shot on goal. That catches our eye, too—but an under with room for only one shot is never a comfortable seat.

Research checked October 25 at 12:07 p.m. EDT. FanDuel reference prices were observed at 11:56 a.m.; fresh equivalent sportsbook offers were not independently verified. Both selections remain watches. Prices and availability vary by location. All times Eastern.

Sunday's Trends shortlist

Current-season chart sources: official NHL game logs for Anderson and Hronek. Targets are applied to recorded shots, not to changing historical sportsbook lines.

Anderson over 1.5: two shots, no goal required

Anderson's last five shot counts are 2, 3, 2, 2, 3, from oldest to newest. His ten-game total is 22 shots, with eight games reaching two. This is a modest target, and the recent run gives it a real story.

The longer view is less flattering. His full previous-season log reached two shots in only 25 of 72 games. We like the change in recent activity; we do not assume it has permanently rewritten his shooting habits.

The setting matters, too. Montreal and Winnipeg play the Heritage Classic at Princess Auto Stadium at 7 p.m. Montreal is without Nick Suzuki, and the offense has to spread the work around. That does not automatically send those extra chances to Anderson.

Our take: watch over 1.5 shots at +110 or better. The +114 reference meets that price limit, but we are waiting for a fresh equivalent offer. At +110, the break-even rate is about 47.6%; that is not our estimate of his true chance. A night spent chasing the puck, a smaller role or attempts that miss the net can leave him at one.

RotoWire projects Jakub Dobes and Stuart Skinner in goal; neither is confirmed at our check. Anderson is not listed on either projected Montreal power-play unit, so we are not selling this as a power-play promotion. The Canadiens last played Friday, the Jets Thursday.

Hronek under 1.5: the quiet run meets a busy role

Hronek has eight shots across his last ten games. Nine of those games stayed below two, including each of the last five. The three straight zeroes make the under easy to notice.

But here is the catch: he is not being hidden from offense. RotoWire projects him on Vancouver's first power-play unit. Two clean looks from the blue line are enough to beat this under, and a team chasing the score can start throwing everything toward the net.

His complete previous-season log stayed under in 46 of 82 games, about 56.1%. That is a much calmer picture than nine of ten. The current season is ten unders in twelve; useful context, still a short run.

Our take: watch under 1.5 only at -120 or better; pass at the -128 reference. At -120, the break-even rate is about 54.5%. The recent count alone is not enough reason to pay whatever the book asks. Two shots lose, even if neither looks particularly dangerous.

Minnesota at Vancouver starts at 10 p.m. The Wild played Saturday in Seattle, while Vancouver last played Thursday. That rest difference is context, not proof of a shot-count edge.

RotoWire lists Calvin Pickard as confirmed for Minnesota and Leevi Merilainen as expected for Vancouver. Hronek's first-unit role is the bigger warning for this under than trying to turn a goalie name into a prediction.

Keep the target beside the price

For Anderson, over 1.5 means two or more shots. For Hronek, under 1.5 means zero or one. Neither bet depends on a goal, and neither needs a team-win bet attached to it.

These are full-game shot props. FanDuel Ontario's hockey rules include overtime unless a period or regulation limit is stated; player shootout statistics do not count unless explicitly included. Standard team moneylines, puck lines and totals include overtime and the shootout settlement goal. Regulation-only markets are different contracts, and the exact market and location terms govern.

That is what we want Trends, coming soon to BetSlip Live, to help make clearer: a good-looking run deserves context, and a watchlist still needs the right price. Today, that leaves us with two hockey watches and no forced bet.
